للتواصل: sakina@ahmadburghol.com.

Effective date: 7 November 2026 · Applies to the Sakina app (iOS and Android, ID com.clixasoft.sakina) and to this website.
In short: Sakina collects no personal data. There is no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your location, if you allow it, never leaves your device.
Who we are
Sakina (سكينة) is published by Clixasoft (“we”, “us”). Contact: sakina@ahmadburghol.com.
No account, no personal data
The app does not require an account or sign-up and never asks for your name, email address or phone number. We do not collect any personal data, and we do not store, sell or share any. We have no servers that receive data from the app.
Location
- Location access is optional. You can instead pick your country and city manually from an offline list built into the app.
- If you grant permission, the app reads your location only while you are using it, and uses it only on your device to calculate prayer times and the Qibla direction, and to look up the nearest city name and time zone in the built-in database.
- Your location is never transmitted to us or to anyone else and is never stored on any server. The selected location is saved only on your device so times can be calculated next time.
- You can revoke location permission at any time in your system settings.
Notifications
Adhan notifications and pre-alerts are scheduled locally on your device by the operating system. No push-notification service or server is involved, and no notification token is created or sent anywhere. On Android, the app may ask for the “Alarms & reminders” (exact alarm) permission solely so that notifications arrive on time.
When the app uses the internet
The core of the app works fully offline. The internet is used only for two optional features, and only when you use them:
- Quran audio: recitations are streamed or downloaded from EveryAyah.com (everyayah.com), an independent audio provider. Downloaded files are stored only on your device.
- Qibla “Show on map”: map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap’s tile servers (tile.openstreetmap.org), operated by the OpenStreetMap Foundation.
When your device connects to these services, they may receive the standard technical data that any internet connection reveals, such as your IP address, browser/device information (user agent) and the files requested (for example the chosen recitation, or the map area shown on screen). These providers handle that data under their own policies, not ours:
The app does not send your identity, any identifier or your coordinates to these providers, and we receive no data from them.
No ads, no analytics, no tracking
No advertising, no analytics or crash-reporting services of our own, no tracking, no cookies, no advertising identifiers and no third-party SDKs that collect data. The app does not track you across other apps or websites.
If you have opted in at the operating-system level to share diagnostics, Apple or Google may share anonymised crash reports with developers under their own policies; this happens outside the app and includes no personal data from us.
Data stored on your device
Your settings (language, theme, calculation method, offsets, notification choices, chosen city), Quran bookmarks and last-read position, azkar progress, tasbih counts and any downloaded audio are stored only on your device, and are all deleted when you uninstall the app.
Your device’s own backups (such as iCloud or Google backup) may include app data, depending on your device settings; that is handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
Permissions and why
| Permission | Purpose |
|---|
| Location (optional) | Prayer times and Qibla, calculated on the device only. |

Sakina is suitable for all ages. We collect no data from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete. You stay in control: revoke permissions in your system settings, or uninstall the app to remove all of its data. For any question, email us at the address below.
This website
sakina.ahmadburghol.com is a static website with no cookies, analytics or trackers. It remembers your language choice in your browser’s local storage only; that choice is never sent anywhere. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages; GitHub may process technical data such as IP addresses for security and operation, as described in the GitHub Privacy Statement.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above, and we will mention significant changes in the app’s release notes (“What’s New”) on the App Store and Google Play. We will never start collecting personal data without first updating this policy and, where required, asking for your consent.
