By downloading or using Sakina you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

The app

Sakina is provided free of charge by Clixasoft for personal, non-commercial use. No account is required. We may improve, change or discontinue features at any time.

Religious content and sources

• The Quran text is the Uthmani text (Hafs) from the Tanzil Project, reproduced verbatim, without any modification, under CC BY 3.0.
• Azkar are from Hisn al-Muslim by Sa'id bin Ali bin Wahf Al-Qahtani, with references as given in the source dataset.

We have taken great care to reproduce this content faithfully. If you believe you have found an error, please email us with its location (surah and ayah, or the name of the zikr) so we can check it against the source.

Prayer times, Hijri dates and Qibla

Prayer times are astronomical calculations based on your location and chosen settings, and may differ by a few minutes from your local mosque or official authority. Hijri dates are calculated using the Umm al-Qura calendar and may differ by a day from local moon sighting. The Qibla direction relies on your device’s compass, which can be affected by magnetic interference. Please verify with your local mosque or official authority, especially during Ramadan and Eid.

Notifications

Notification delivery depends on your operating system and device settings (such as battery optimisation, Focus or Do Not Disturb), so we cannot guarantee that every alert arrives on time. Please do not rely on the app alone for prayer times.

Third-party services

The optional Quran audio (EveryAyah.com) and optional map (OpenStreetMap) are provided by independent third parties, are subject to their own terms, and may not always be available.

Intellectual property and licences

The app’s design, code and artwork belong to Clixasoft. Third-party content is used under its licences: Quran text (Tanzil, CC BY 3.0), azkar dataset (MIT), city data (GeoNames, CC BY 4.0), fonts (SIL OFL) and map data (© OpenStreetMap contributors). Details are in the app under About.

Acceptable use

Please use the app lawfully and respectfully. Do not copy, modify or redistribute the app itself, or present altered Quran or azkar text as coming from it.

No warranty

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose — to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Clixasoft is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the app, including a missed or late alert. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.

Privacy

We collect no personal data. See the Privacy Policy for details.

App stores

If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement also applies; if you downloaded it from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Any update will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and material changes will be mentioned in the release notes. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the updated terms.
